I recently did a comprehensive health checkup at a general hospital in Seoul. The whole process took about 4 hours.
What was included: blood work, urine test, chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, vision and hearing tests, body composition analysis, and a consultation with a doctor at the end.
Total cost: around 450,000 KRW (about $330 USD). I paid out of pocket since I don’t have Korean insurance.
The staff spoke limited English, but the hospital had printed instructions in English and Japanese at each station, which helped a lot. I also used Papago (translation app) a few times.
Overall, the process was very efficient and organized. Much faster than what I’m used to back home. The facilities were clean and modern.
Has anyone else done a checkup here? I’m curious how prices and services compare at different hospitals.
