Korea’s Dermatology Growth: Reading the 2025 Data

KHIDI reports 1,312,700 foreign patients in dermatology for 2025. Department activity does not measure treatment results.

Read the department figure

  • Table 2.17 reports dermatology growth of 86.2% from 2024 to 2025.
  • Its 62.9% share uses department-level counts. A person who visits several departments can appear in each.

Avoid the wrong conclusion

  • Do not interpret the figure as the share of unique national patients receiving a specific cosmetic procedure.
  • High demand does not establish a clinician's qualifications or a treatment's safety for you.

Use a practical comparison

  • Ask the clinician about your skin concern, options and risks.
  • Compare the written treatment scope, total cost and follow-up plan instead of popularity alone.
