Before you pay a clinic deposit, get the recipient, total estimate and cancellation terms in writing. A deposit does not guarantee that treatment is suitable for you.
Ask these 20 questions
- Who legally receives the payment?
- Does the account holder match that recipient?
- What treatment and date does the payment reserve?
- Who will perform the procedure?
- What is the estimated total in KRW?
- Are consultation and tests included?
- Is anesthesia included?
- Are medicines and supplies included?
- Are follow-up visits included?
- Are taxes included?
- What may cost extra after examination?
- What amount is refundable?
- What is the cancellation deadline?
- What are the rescheduling terms?
- What happens if the clinician changes?
- What happens if treatment is unsuitable?
- What happens if travel or visa plans change?
- Who pays transfer and refund fees?
- Will I receive a receipt and the full terms?
- Who handles questions or a dispute?
Pause when terms are unclear
- Ask for an explanation of any account-name mismatch or change in terms. Do not let a discount deadline replace your review.
- Keep the quote version, agreed terms, receipt and correspondence securely. Do not send payment records to Med-in-Korea.
If you disagree
- Ask the recipient for a written explanation. Medical Korea can provide information about support routes.
- A refund depends on the contract, facts and applicable rules. This checklist does not establish a refund entitlement.
